What
is Agile Anyway?
Agile
refers to a set of values and principles which govern
a style of software development that encourages iterative,
collaborative and results-focused development. For more
information on why organizations are making the change,
see “Destination:
Agile Top Eight Reasons Why Organizations are Making the
Switch” by Sally Elatta.
Agile
Preparation
Agile
adoption requires a transformation of roles, processes
and behaviors. Deciding where and how to start implementing
Agile can be an intimidating task. To help you prepare
your company for Agile adoption, ASCIT offers the following
services:

management and teams . This will provide each
audience with a high-level understanding of the benefits
of Agile and Scrum. We always customize each seminar
to fit your needs.
Agile readiness assessment. Here we
will assess your current processes and culture to help
determine the level of effort needed for a successful
Agile adoption.
Agile adoption roadmap. We will provide
a detailed roadmap on how you can roll Agile out to
your team or organization.
Product roadmap and vision. We can
help you create a roadmap that will illustrate how to
remain competitive in light of increased competition
and changing customer needs.
Agile
Training
One
of the common reasons Agile adoption fails is due to lack
of training and education. A crucial component to a successful
Agile adoption is educating team members in Agile practices
and techniques. To maximize the learning experience, our
courses are 60% hands-on. Our instructors are real-world
practitioners that have experience coaching teams on agile
adoption in small and large companies. Please visit our
Training page and click on
Agile/Scrum to view our Agile course offerings.
Agile
Coaching
Did
you know that having in-experienced ScrumMasters lead
new agile projects with no coaching is behind the many
causes of Agile
adoption failure? As we all know, old habits die hard.
While training is a crucial component, it can be easy
for new ScrumMasters and teams to slip back into familiar
behaviors. We can provide experienced coaches that work
side-by-side to coach your internal ScrumMasters, product
owners and the team through each step of the process.
This will help ensure a successful pilot project. ASCIT
offers the following options for coaching:
Project coaching. For project teams
that are new to Agile, we provide coaching that will
help guide them through the adoption process with full
time ScrumMasters or part time Agile Coaches.
Enterprise coaching. We provide Agile
coaching for multi-team, multi-site, highly complex
projects or for organizations adopting agile top down
across multiple departments.
Agile
Project Onshore/Offshore Developmet
We can fully staff, lead, and develop your project from
beginning to end using our Partnered Development
Model. Our model encourages our client to
designate some of their team members to be involved in
the development effort so that these key resources have
full understanding of the product developed. This will
provide a framework that will ensure a successful project
transition to your staff for maintenance
